Bought something you pay in installments? Spentio logs one transaction for each month, so your spending shows up when you actually pay it.
Steps
Open the purchase in Transactions and choose Split into installments.
On the web: It's the split icon at the top, beside the pencil. For a new purchase, it's at the bottom of Add transaction.
On iPhone: It's the split icon at the top right. For a new purchase, it's at the bottom of New Transaction.
Type the amount and choose whether it's The total or One installment.
Set the date of the First installment and how many Installments you pay.
Check the months listed below, then confirm. The purchase is replaced by one transaction per month, and each one shows which installment it is.
On the web: Choose Create 6 transactions. The number follows your installments.
On iPhone: Tap Create 6. The number follows your installments.
Questions
- Can installment purchases from my bank's notifications wait for me to split them?
- Yes. In Settings › Cards and apps, open the bank and choose Ask to split for that kind of notification under Notifications. Each one then waits in To review as Ready to split.
- My bank charges interest on the installments. How do I enter it?
- Under Interest, choose With interest and type each installment as your bank shows it. Only know the rate? Choose I only know the interest rate.
