How do I know if my bank has reported a transaction?

· 1 min

The Reported row on every transaction, money out or in, says whether your bank has confirmed it.

Steps

  1. In Transactions, a dashed ring and a gray amount mark a planned transaction still waiting for your bank: a recurring one, or one added ahead of its date. To see only those, turn on the Waiting for your bank filter.

    On the web: Open Filters.

On iPhone: Tap ⋯, then Search.

Two transactions on iPhone: a recurring one with a dashed ring on its icon and a gray amount, still waiting for the bank, and a purchase with no ring.
  2. Open any transaction. Under Details, Added shows when and how it appeared. Reported shows Not yet, or the date and what confirmed it: a bank notice, a card payment, your statement or you. If a recurring one's amount differs from your plan, it also shows by how much.

The Details section on iPhone. Added: by your schedule. Reported: Not yet, with Mark as paid beside it.
  3. Already paid or received? In the Reported row, choose Mark as paid, or Mark as received for money coming in.

The Reported row on iPhone after marking: today, by you, Marked as paid, with Undo beside it.
  4. Changed your mind? Choose Undo in the same row.

Questions

I marked a transaction as paid or received, then my bank reported it. Will it show up twice?
No. It stays one transaction: its Reported row now shows your bank, and Undo goes away.
I added a transaction myself last week, and it still says “Not yet” under Reported. Is something wrong?
No. It just hasn't been confirmed yet. If it already went through, choose Mark as paid, or Mark as received for money coming in. If not, leave it.
