Track your benefits card spending in one place

You spend on the benefits card every week and your budget never sees a cent of it. Spentio lists HSA, FSA, commuter and lifestyle cards right next to your bank.

You have a card for healthcare, commuting, wellness, or lunch. You spend on it every week, and nothing anywhere adds it up. It isn't salary, it isn't a checking account, and at the end of the month you can't say what went through it.

So the card sits outside your budget, and your budget is wrong by exactly that much.

Add it like a bank

Spentio now keeps these cards in the same list as every bank it knows, under their own heading.

  1. In Spentio, add an account and pick your country.
  2. Scroll past the banks to Benefit cards, or just type the name on your card.
  3. Name it if you like, and add it.

That's the whole setup. The currency and the logo are already filled in.

What changes afterward

The card shows up next to your checking account, and anything you put on it lands in the same month as everything else. The coffee you bought with the wellness card counts in your Food total. The card is its own account, so the two never mix.

The cards Spentio knows in the United States

Benepass, Edenred Benefits, Forma, Fringe, HSA Bank, Inspira Financial, Lively, Optum Bank, Sharebite, ThrivePass and WEX Benefits. You can browse the whole catalog on the banks page.

If yours is missing, tell us and we'll add it.

One list, all of your money

If you use the card three times a week, it belongs with the rest. Now every account you spend from sits in one place, including the card. If you're new here, this is what Spentio does.

Frequently asked questions

Does Spentio show the balance on my benefits card?
No. Spentio never connects to your card provider and never stores a balance. You log what you pay, and the card updates when you decide, the same way the rest of Spentio works.
Does a benefits card count against the free plan?
Yes. A card is an account, so it uses one of your slots exactly like a checking account does. The free plan holds two accounts, so a card and one bank is the whole allowance. Paid plans raise it.
My card covers both wellness and commuting. Do I add it twice?
Add it once. The category on each expense tells you what it was for, so you get the split without juggling two accounts.
Can I import the statements my benefits card gives me?
Yes. Magic Import, our AI, works with statements from these cards the same way it works with bank statements: a PDF or a photo of the card's app.
